11 November is the feast day of our patron saint and also the day on which we remember those who have died in war. The Lord Mayor and Sheriff of York lay wreaths each year to commemorate all those who have died in the service of their country and all victims of war including the dead of both sides who died in the air raid of 29 April 1942.
